– Essential For Unity

Unity is a catalyst for a progressive marriage. Mutual appreciation and genuine desire to help your spouse up in life are like a well mixed concrete poured on the foundation of any construction in a swampy land. It solidifies immediately for blocks to come in rows so as to form a beautiful building. But without love and submission, unity for progress cannot come.

The negative effects of lack of love and submission in marriage are all around us today in our society which is one of the reasons for disunity in marriages. I want to, first, talk about Lack Of Husband’s Love.

When a woman is unloved by her husband, it shows on her appearance, countenance, body and health. In her appearance, she looks skinny, her face is always gloomy, sad, depressed and tired. Scars of punches or flogging and slaps are all over her.

She battles low self-esteem as a result. The pain of rejection is written all over her appearance. There is little or no co-ordination in the way she dresses. She complains of being tired most of the time because nothing excites her.

By the look of such a woman, we sometimes misjudge the situation, thinking the economic situation is the reason for the way she looks. That is a lie. For most women, they enjoy their husband’s love – no matter difficult things are, women are ready to endure until things turn around.

Your husband’s love is vital to what you do and who you are. That is why God gave husbands the commandment to love their wives. The husband’s love is the missing dimension in many marriages today.

IMPROVISING:

Improvise means to make do or improve on what is available. Some women do improvise today to make life go on when their husbands fail to love them as they desire.

Trust human mind, it will look for artificial solution for this essential commodity. Which is what you see in most women today. Some women take to drug, alcohol, prostitution, lesbianism, and careless way of life in order to cover the vacuum.

The way most women apply make-up these days shows that they lack joy and fulfillment. Maybe, they desire to be noticed for their affluence, so as to be recognized for their achievements and worth (Truly, God has decided to bless women, jokes apart). Or maybe they are looking for men who will appreciate them as to shower love on them. It is not out of place to do any of these. But the word of God prescribes modesty in all.

Genuine love is hard to find but those who seek God shall lack nothing good, says the word of God. No matter how ugly a lady may look, if only she can seek and trust God, divine light will shine on her for the right man to locate her and admire her in love.

A man’s love to a woman is like the arteries that transport blood to the heart. Any seizure or little blockage in the arteries, the heart fails. It could lead to death or mental failure. Whatever is the effect, it has negative impacts on the person.

So, little wonder you see women dressing to be noticed. It is the evidence that she is fighting rejection by the love of her life. She desires to be presentable and accepted by her husband so much so that she does not know how to do make-up or dress moderately any more. So, painting the face and wearing dresses suitable for young ladies go well with such women. That is the mindset with which some women dress.

You cannot blame them as the Word says; your desire will be for your husband… Gen 3:16. The love of a woman’s husband is as dear to her heart as blood is to the flesh. That is why God commanded the husband to love his wife. There is no substitute for a husband’s love.

SOLUTION

Winning your husband’s love is a task that must be done. Why not seek God for a permanent solution? Put aside arrogance and pretence. Come to yourself. Confess Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Universe, in WHOM all things hold together, including your husband’s love. Let Him be Lord over your life. Let the Holy Spirit come into you with His glory – the glory that your own husband cannot despise.

Wise women are basking in this life long glory, why not join them? Submit to God. And then, it becomes easy for you to submit to your husband. Making up false confidence cannot bring your husband’s LOVE but you seek God to help.

Lack of modesty in the dressing of most women is the by-product of lack of love at home. Husbands, help your wives: LOVE them!
