We talk about replacement when what you have is not suitable or may be corrupted. You can change your dress, your shoes, your career, your residence, even change your job. Personally, you are free to change your faith, if you are not convinced.

Government permits people to naturalize any way. The most difficult to change is negative trait. Unpleasant behavior sticks and gets more pronounced. These include natural diseases such as, anger, hatred, envy, jealousy, miserliness, self centeredness, lying, alcoholism, night-crawling, smoking, stealing, sexual immorality, deceit, talkativeness, quarrelling, gluttony, avariciousness or greed, laziness of the heart, mental laziness, body laziness, laziness of the eyes, pride and more.

I call them natural diseases and not bodily. For we grow to find some of these traits in us. We caught them through gene (DNA).

And more so, they are not medically curable. No tablet or capsule for example can cure hatred, jealousy or envy. It is a soul sickness.

Whatever you call it, such traits will only give you undesirable result. It will have negative effect on your person and your pursuit in life. Just as bodily disease weighs you down or takes you out of the race of life, so is the born with sickness.

A lady was discussing with another young lady how the husband has been a drain in her life. He cannot hold any job for long. He complains of virtually everything. He has no tenacity to get things done. He gets irritated easily. So I just have to endure so as to keep our marriage.

A woman told a story of a man who says he was called of God to minister but fails to minister to his family of the necessities of life. The family depends on her salary. The husband works in a church where he earns no salary according to what he told the wife. More men today are in bondage by the reason of their marriage.

The wife has no quality initiative – to add to what the husband is doing or providing. She sleeps, eats without any ambition but has domineering spirit with which she torments the husband and people around.

Living with either man or woman with any of these natural diseases leads to unfulfilled destiny: A Life full of frustration, backwardness and regret.

The Cure

Since the disease in question is not what medical experts can prescribe or diagnose, individually, we discover and work at adjusting gradually and then overcome some of them.

Right living will help to some extent but a cure can’t be attained. It takes a process, and a personal determination to overcome. Faking your deliverance exposes you more.

I will want you to know also that healing is not automatic or instant. But it is achievable.

Stage One:

You have to be convinced in yourself that you need help. You must be tired of the sickness and want to get rid of it.

Background:

I was told a story of a Pastor who used to steal from the offering of his church. An usher who was caught pilfering the offering bowl. A choir master who sleeps with young girls in the choir. And a mature man, born again who talks loosely.

Then men and women who proclaim to be born again but have negative character traits. Inside of me, I was thinking: why should this be? And what could be the solution? Born again and still misbehave?

It was becoming more difficult to relate with people as a result of these sicknesses of the soul.

More so, we are not to judge. What then can I do?

Glory be to God who has sent His faithful messengers, our spiritual guides who through the Holy Spirit receive the light of the true word which they now pass on to us.

Right living would fail for it is working hard with a burden on you. All those negative traits are burden placed on man by the devil as a reward of his sin in the garden. That is why Jesus Christ came in flesh to deliver us. He shed his blood as a ransom for us from the clutches of the ruthless.

Jesus says ‘come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’ Rest from every form of torment is in Jesus Christ. No other way or solution but Christ. How? By believing in Him; Who He is and why He has come. Believe all He has done for you and the world and see the burden of life lifted off you.

What Do You Believe?

I) Believe that the Bible is not a story book. Rather it is the wisdom of God in written form for your salvation and victorious living. The manual to equip you for a life of command.

Ii) The Bible is a living word of God written by men who are moved by the Holy Spirit to write. 2 Peter 1:20. 2 Timothy 3:16

What Else to believe?

A) Believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God

B) He came in flesh; walked on the planet earth

C) He died on the cross for your sin

D) He rose the third day from death

E) Believe that Jesus resurrected and ascended to heaven.

With conviction in your heart accept that this good news is true, and you believe and confess it; that is it! You are recreated.

Your spirit, natural spirit is in union with God’s spirit and that is how you are recreated.
