Until you resist them, negative situations continue to besiege your success. The Word says “give no room to the devil, resist him and he will flee”.

And because whatever you endure stays with you, you can manage with negative circumstances. However, the moment you make up your mind, heaven will stand at attention to bring the desired change in your life. The change may not be instant but it will surely come.

How do you call into being what is not as if it is?

1. Through the mind picture: You form a picture in your mind’s eye to counter the negative situation confronting you. Make sure you have a full picture of how you would prefer the matter to be. Then release it into the air. Each time the negative picture or situation comes up, confront it with your painted picture. After some time, the frequency of the negative circumstances will start to reduce. And your desire will begin to form later. This is not a quick fix approach. It might look as if nothing is happening but believe you me, you have started a process. The angels are at work for your sake. These angels do not take your instructions lightly, for they are at your service. Someday, you will surely see that painted picture manifest into reality.

In the December of 1985, my family had to contend with darkness because NEPA (the National Electric Power Authority), as the power supply company was then called, was performing grossly below expectation. We lived in a building with four flats that has two different phases of electricity supply. Two flats with light and two flats without. Our flat happened to be without light. On 25th of that December, we sat, in the evening, at the corridor to enjoy fresh air – since there was nothing we could enjoy. NEPA had struck for three days running, depriving us the privilege of watching television programmes packaged for such festive seasons.

Can you imagine the pain of seeing light at your neighbour’s apartment while yours does not have? That was our situation. You may ask: why didn’t you tap from your neighbours? There was a law, a very strong law then, that prohibited anyone from trying that. Anyone caught would either go to jail or pay a fine. In any case, it was not an option.

As we were confronting this light issue, my husband said, “a time will come in our lives when there shall be uninterrupted power supply into my house. How? I cannot say, but it shall come to pass.” We all chorused a loud “Amen!” to that.

I had faith on my husband’s words. Up till Decembeer 1987, we were unable to buy a generator. The delay did not affect me as to make me quit holding onto our confession. But today, God has shown some technicians how to power our house with inverter. He has also provided for my family to buy one. You can put your generator to rest while the inverter supplies light. That is an era of enjoying light round the clock. Glory be to God! You will say how many years? Time and space are not a hindrance to whatever you visualize or verbalize and release into the atmosphere. It shall come back to you as your reality.

That entails casting your bread on waters, which you will find very soon. We are enjoying power supply in our house, and so shall many households; the government of today is working to bring solution to the epileptic power generation and supply in Nigeria. I believe Nigerians will enjoy heavenly backing this time.

The most powerful and effective mans of calling into being, things that are not, is through scriptural meditations. Scriptural meditation means thinking and reflecting on the Word of God. It means pondering on a particular Word of God. For example, suddenly you find yourself in danger or for just no reason, you can deduce, you become afraid. And the fear becoming strong.

The Word of God says: He will assign His angels and give them charge over you. God has not given you the spirit of fear but the spirit of power, love and of sound mind. Saying words of the scripture confronts fear and shatters them as you have your peace. Taking time to envision the promise of God until it becomes a reality inside you is what meditation in the Word is all about.

It we want to go by Abram’s example. God did not just verbalize His promise of Abram becoming the father of Nations. He gave him a picture to hold onto by taking him out to see how numerous the stars of the sky were and saying to him “so shall thy seed be”. Abram filled the eyes of his heart with the promise. And today Abraham is the father of Nations.

What is that lack in your life? Be it spiritual, physical, intellectual, your business, career, marriage whatever is not giving you joy. There is a scriptural word for you. Find it, affirm it, paint a picture of it, humbly work at it as you receive divine direction. Be consistent. Never allow the prevailing situation to push you as to alter your desire (provided it is positive). Very soon, your reality will show up.

As Year 2009 comes to an end, you can put an end to any form of unprofitable venture, shame, reproach, discomfort and dissatisfaction in your life – by calling into being those things that are not as though they were. Happy Xmas.
